The “Airbnb” of
We utilize this smart fish cage, in combination with other equipment, to a package that is given fishermen to convert them to fish farmers.
The package includes the smart fish cage, an automatic gutting and peeling machine, an app that manages local orders, and a local delivery electric bicycle with a delivery personnel.
Interested fishermen are given the opportunity to be converted to entrepreneurs. We only hold 10% of their sales, performing as the Airbnb of fishermen.
Fishermen are given the fish cage with the fish and the organic feed inside. They are getting training on how to operate them. The things they have to do is to replenish the feed once per month, perform minimal other maintenance in the cages, and harvest the fish when there are orders.
This model provides fresher, organic, low price and sustainable fish locally.
In the local area of the fisherman, local restaurants, hotels, and few individual customers are placing an order through the app. Next day the fisherman knows exactly how many fish he has to harvest so there is no waste.
Then he goes with his fishing boat to the cage, and harvest them. He brings them in to the port, and there he place them in the automatic gutting and peeling machine for cleaning.
And then he gives them to the delivery person who then delivers them locally within his electric bike, in a total of 4 hours from harvest, fresher than ever.
The fish compared with other aquaculture has the advantage to grow in open sea, in clean waters without toxins, they are fed with organic feed, and they are also low price through a shorter supply chain model of decentralized production, to be accessible to all.
We make fishing obsolete as hunting is today.
Compared to 1960 the yields of fishermen gives 90% less fish.
Due to less fish production, and cost of the gas, fisherman’s job is not viable. At the same time the demand for fresh organic fish is raising massively worldwide due to the health benefits of Omega-3 fatty acids, and due to greater economic empowerment of much more people worldwide.
So in order to make this job viable, to save the seas from over fishing, and making fishing obsolete as hunting is today, and to bring low price organic fish massively to the people, we have the following mission.
